HATHA YOGA
Hatha Yoga helps to reduce stress, create balance, strength and flexibility and helps to reduce fatigue. Hatha Yoga signifies all types of Yoga as Ha means the Sun and Tha means the Moon. The practice of Hatha Yoga balances the sun (male) and the moon (female) energies in our bodies. Postures can help to ease pain and are beneficial for back care and injuries including RSI.
Suitable for Beginners, Hatha Yoga is characterized by it's alignment and attention to detail. A safe and sure way to health and well being. Time is spent in the poses (Asanas) discovering the correct alignment and energy flow of the body in the pose.
Beginner classes are suitable for absolute beginners and also for people with some Yoga experience, they are on hour long. Beginner/General classes are a little step up as they are one and a half hours long but still open to beginners and everyone.
In a Hatha Yoga class we will practice a combination of standing poses, seated poses, backbends or abdominal strengthening poses and twists. Or a mixture of all the poses, so that very rarely are classes exactly the same.
All Hatha Yoga classes finish with a ten minute deep relaxation to leave you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
